All indications point to 2025 being Kansas City Chiefs legend Travis Kelce’s final season in the NFL. After posting an NFL record seven straight seasons of 1,000 receiving yards or more from 2016-2022, Kelce posted seasons of 984 (2023) and 823 (2024).
You may have read in our Arrowheadlines that head coach Andy Reid reported he has been “training like crazy.”
How will Kelce cap off his career?

Kansas City is meeting with an intriguing late-round pass-catcher.
According to Aaron Wilson of Houston’s KPRC, University of Miami wide receiver Sam Brown Jr. is scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs this week.
Here’s what to know about him.
In 2020, Brown committed to West Virginia as a four-star recruit out of Bloomingdale, Georgia. He had two uneventful seasons in Morgantown, totaling only 10 passes for 108 yards.
Brown found more success after transferring to Houston, where he topped out in 2023 with 62 passes for 815 yards and three touchdowns. Then he moved on to Miami...

Chiefs thrilled about the return of Travis Kelce, who is ‘training like crazy’ | The Athletic
Kelce, the future Hall of Fame tight end, informed Reid that he wasn’t retiring less than a week after the Kansas City Chiefs’ disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
“I just wanted him to put it out there and not me,” Reid said Monday. “I always like guys to step back (after the season), but he wants to come back and he’s training like crazy, too.”

The case for why Kansas City is sitting especially pretty this year heading into the NFL Draft.
The goal of any NFL team is to build a sustained contender that gives you the most chances to win a Super Bowl championship (or multiple championships). Teams build their rosters with the intention of prolonging their windows, and with enough chances, you eventually will have the right bounces to get over the top.
However, the NFL builds competitive balance checks to ensure that keeping a window open is as difficult as possible. Mechanisms like the salary cap and reverse draft ordering limit...
Reviewing the rule changes for 2025 — and sharing the editors’ takes on the decisions.
The NFL has added or modified four rules — as approved by the owners from their annual spring meeting in Palm Beach, Florida. Changing a rule requires the approval of 75% of the owners, which equates to 24 of the 32.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, here are the approved rule changes for the 2025 NFL season:
John Dixon: I’m in favor of any method by which officials’ decisions can be...
Kansas City’s former assistant general manager discussed his recent promotion with host Kay Adams on Monday.
The Kansas City Chiefs will have a major change in the front office for the coming season. The team’s former assistant general manager, Mike Borgonzi, left the team after 16 seasons in various roles to become the general manager of the Tennessee Titans.
Borgonzi — who originally came to the Chiefs in 2009 on Scott Pioli’s staff — spoke with host Kay Adams on Monday’s episode of “The Up and Adams Show” on FanDuel Sports Network. While he confirmed passing on other opportunities in...
Offense or defense to lead the way? Let’s hear what you think!
Let’s start our Tuesday morning conversation with a topic often discussed on Arrowhead Pride:
Would you rather the Kansas City Chiefs were elite on offense or defense?
Decades ago, it’s likely that Chiefs fans would have chosen defense, but in the Patrick Mahomes era, offense seems to be a more popular answer.
What do you think? Even if you’re a first-time commenter, let’s hear what you have to say!
We now have the details for the contract given to the versatile Kansas City defensive end.
We have now obtained the details for the last two contracts the Kansas City Chiefs executed in free agency: the ones for cornerback Robert Rochell and defensive end Charles Omenihu.
As we expected, Rochell was signed to a Veteran Salary Benefit (VSB) deal that allows Kansas City to pay him the NFL minimum salary for a player with four credited seasons ($1.2 million) but have it count the same as a contract for a player with only two credited seasons ($1.0 million). Under the...
With the 2024 season behind us, here’s where Kansas City’s roster stands going into the offseason.
After the Kansas City Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, they have 73 players under contract.
All of these players were on the team’s final 2024 active roster or reserve lists and remain under contract for the coming season.
The up-to-date team roster, including contract and salary cap information.
All information shown is current as of 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 1.
Current space: $11.6 million.
This includes the estimated salary cap impacts of all known signings and releases. More information about our cap space calculation is available below the tables.
Please note: *All NFL teams must remain below the salary cap between the beginning of the new league year in mid-March and the end of each season. If our estimate of the team’s cap space is a negative number, it’s because contracts for...

Kansas City Chiefs AT Buffalo Bills
The Bills and Chiefs are embroiled in arguably the AFC’s top rivalry — though, with Kansas City having eliminated Buffalo from the postseason four times in the Patrick Mahomes-Josh Allen era, it has become a little one-sided, like Notre Dame vs. Navy. All right, that might be a bit harsh, because the Bills do always seem to get the better of the Chiefs...
