For the second straight season, Kansas City is represented by cornerback Trent McDuffie.
For the second straight offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs have landed a single player on the Pro Football Focus “25 under 25” list: cornerback Trent McDuffie.
McDuffie — already a two-time All-Pro — will be just 24 when the season starts. It is worth noting he turns 25 on September 13, one day before the team’s Week 2 Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
McDuffie climbed to the fifth rank after being listed at No. 10 in last year’s showcase.

Let’s discuss who will be Kansas City’s last line of defense in the coming season.
In the offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs watched starting safety Justin Reid move on to the New Orleans Saints. We expect fourth-year player Bryan Cook to start again in 2025, but who will play alongside him? Jaden Hicks was impressive in his rookie season. Over the last two years, Chamarri Conner has raised plenty of eyebrows. But seventh-year pro Mike Edwards has returned to Kansas City — and undrafted free agent Glendon Miller has a shot to make the roster, too.
How do you expect...
The Southern Arkansas product has found his way to Kansas City’s offseason roster.
Following the NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs signed more than a dozen undrafted free agents (UDFAs) to fill out their 90-man offseason roster. Now, we’re considering the chances they have to still be on the team when the season begins in September.
In this post, we’re profiling Division II star Melvin Smith Jr. — a 5-foot-10, 185-pound cornerback from Southern Arkansas. Why were the Chiefs interested in him? Let’s take a look.

Appearing on ESPN earlier this week, Adam Schefter delivered a stark assessment of the challenges awaiting the Chiefs in 2025.
“This may just be the single toughest division and the most division challenges that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have faced since he started as the Chiefs’ starting quarterback,” Schefter stated. “I see huge division challenges all across the board for the Chiefs, making it difficult for them to finish...
Former Rams lineman Tremayne Anchrum is likely to be competing for a depth role with the Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free-agent veteran offensive guard Tremayne Anchrum, according to the league’s official Friday transactions report.
Anchrum, 26, first entered the league out of Clemson as a seventh-round pick made by the Los Angeles Rams during the 2020 NFL Draft.
A tackle in college, the 6-foot-2, 314-pound lineman transitioned to the guard position with the Rams, appearing in 31 games but making his one and only career start in 2022. However, that start only lasted two snaps, as Anchrum...

8) Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs — Week 4, Sept. 28
The Ravens lost to the Chiefs last season with an out-of-bounds touchdown attempt deciding the league season opener. And Baltimore dropped the AFC championship — and that elusive Super Bowl berth — to the Chiefs the playoffs prior. Mahomes and Co. will always be a reminder that Jackson’s two-time MVP status and perennial excellent...
Move over, Dallas! Kansas City is coming for your title — and could even exceed your popularity.
As we were counting down one of the NFL’s manufactured tentpole events — Wednesday’s schedule release — we brought your attention to remarks made by the league’s vice-president of broadcast planning and scheduling Mike North, who often serves as the face of the NFL’s scheduling team.
“For teams like Buffalo, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Dallas [and] Pittsburgh,” North had noted on a recent episode of the “It’s Always Gameday in Buffalo” podcast, “you’re talking about probably six, seven, eight, nine [or]...

The NFL Wants You to Watch the Kansas City Chiefs | The Ringer
We’re approaching an interesting nexus for the 2025 season. Kansas City’s visibility will be as high as any dynasty in American sports history, at a time when the Chiefs are a more boring football product than they’ve ever been in the Mahomes era. Even if your favorite team has been a footnote in the Chiefs’ dynasty-building over the last half decade, or if you believe they get all the calls, or if you’re tired of pregame photos...

There is no replacing Thuney. He’s a four-time All-Pro and a four-time Super Bowl champion.
But while the team can’t replace that type of production, getting better play from the left tackle makes it possible for the team to afford a little dip at left guard. That’s the...
