The Chargers head into Sunday with an opportunity to start 3-0 this season while already having three victories over AFC West opponents. However, they’ve got to face a scrappy Broncos team that was this close to being 2-0 themselves if it wasn’t for a last-second field goal from the Colts.
If you haven’t had enough suspense through the team’s first two games, you’re probably about to get exactly what you want in this one. Buckle up! It’s going to be a good one.

Chargers fans received some good news on Thursday as wide receiver Ladd McConkey (biceps) returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s session with a biceps injury. With such a quick turnaround, it looks like the team was only being cautious with him following the late game on Monday.
Thursday’s injury report features seven players once again. Three players were tagged as full participants, two were limited, and two were DNP. The full participants were McConkey, cornerback Tarheeb Still (knee/shoulder), and defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe (foot). Limiteds were cornerback Cam Hart (hip) and linebacker Henley (illness), the latter of which was upgraded...

After working out a pair of edge rushers on Wednesday, the Chargers have officially announced that both Clelin Ferrell and Rashad Weaver will be joining the team’s practice squad. Now, between the active roster and the practice squad, the Chargers employ seven healthy pass rushers. They now hope that is enough bodies to keep their defensive front active and effective enough while Mack recovers from his dislocated elbow.
Ferrell, the former fourth-overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Clemson, spent the 2019-2022 seasons with the Raiders before being waived and landing in San Francisco for the 2023 season. In...
In a recent article from CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan, the NFL analyst went about ranking all 10 of the NFL’s remaining undefeated teams. With only two games under everyone’s belts, those seen as contenders this early could see a vast change in that narrative as soon as several weeks from now. At the same time, some of the teams with a 2-0 record have accomplished that while facing one or more other presumed contenders, as well, further solidifying the preseason hype.
When it comes to the Chargers, Sullivan ranked them fourth among the 10 undefeated squads, behind only the Bills...
On Thursday morning, NFL insider Jordan Schulz reported that the Chargers are signing veteran safety Tony Jefferson to the active roster from the practice squad. Jefferson was most recently elevated from the practice squad to the game day roster this past Monday night before delivering an impact performance against the Raiders.
Playing mainly as the Chargers’ third safety in place of the injured Elijah Molden, Jefferson posted five total tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception that helped keep the Raiders from scoring points near the end of the first half.
On Wednesday, Molden was once again a non-participant in...

The Chargers have dropped their first injury report of Week Three and it’s unfortunately the largest report of the young season. After playing in a late game on Monday night, it’s no surprise that some of the team’s starters were kept out to get a bit more rest and recuperation.
In all, seven players made the initial report. Five players were DNP while two others were limited.
The five players who sat out include linebacker Daiyan Henley (illness), wideout Ladd McConkey (biceps), defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe (foot), safety Elijah Molden (hamstring), and tight end Will Dissly (knee). Henley is likely...
Per the NFL transaction wire, the Chargers worked out a pair of edge rushers on Wednesday in former Raiders first-round pick Clelin Ferrell and former Titans fourth-round pick Rashad Weaver.
Ferrell, the former fourth-overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Clemson, spent the 2019-2022 seasons with the Raiders before being waived and landing in San Francisco for the 2023 season. In 2024, Ferrell was a member of the Washington Commanders. In his six-year career, Ferrell has recorded 159 tackles, 17 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and 12 passes defended.
Weaver was drafted out of Pittsburgh in 2021....
