Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett had another fantastic performance against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he recorded three sacks, four tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. This followed a four-sack performance against the Baltimore Ravens and, three weeks earlier, a five-sack outing against the New England Patriots. He now has 18 sacks on the season and is inching closer to the NFL record of 22.5 sacks. Should he record five sacks over the next six games to break this record, it will be nearly impossible for the NFL awards voters not to give him Defensive Player of the Year....

The Cleveland Browns’ defense dominated the Raiders, logging 10 sacks and an absurd amount of pressures on Geno Smith. We have an article about those numbers in itself here. The Browns were dominant, but it wasn’t a shock to me, because I had just watched the egg that Las Vegas’ offense laid a few days earlier on Monday Night.
Below, we analyze the snap counts and stats on defense for the Cleveland Browns’ Week 12 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Cleveland Browns’ offense didn’t sustain drives, were 3-of-12 (25%) on third down, and had the ball for 23:34 to the Raiders’ 36:26. But yet, we find ourselves encouraged by Shedeur Sanders’ first career start because he showed the ability to create the big play.

Many of you know that I have a hobby travel YouTube channel called Poko Traveler, which I sometimes end up blending with Cleveland Browns content. This past weekend, I traveled to Las Vegas for my third-ever Cleveland Browns road game. Here are a couple of videos of my adventure.
This first video shows the Bellagio Conservatory being decked out for the Christmas season — always a treat to see:
The past few years, the F1 race has taken over the Las Vegas Strip. When I booked the trip to see the Browns vs. Raiders game, I didn’t realize that the...

The Cleveland Browns and quarterbacks have been a toxic mess for the better part of the past 30 years.
Which is why it is somewhat understandable when people get confused over what constitutes good quarterback play and, most importantly, what the goal should be when it comes to the quarterback position.
Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where rookie Shedeur Sanders made his first NFL start, is the latest example.
While there are many people taking victory laps this morning over what they perceive as a legendary debut, the reality is that for a first game, Sanders was …...

Shedeur Sanders started his first NFL game on Sunday, and he was fine. Not terrible, not brilliant, but fine. Perhaps not the kind of scorching hot take that lands you a seat across from Stephen A. Smith, but a truthful, honest reality.
The thing is: “Fine” is good enough for the Browns. One touchdown, one interception, and a couple of explosive plays is the kind of afternoon that can win games with this team. It’s a unit constructed to operate well, just so long as the QB can give you a modicum of production — and more importantly, not screw...

The Cleveland Browns season has seen a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs, with the quarterback position taking an outsized amount of the attention since the 2025 NFL draft included the selection of Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Veteran QB Kenny Pickett seemed like the team’s likely starter before he was injured and traded. QB Joe Flacco took the starting role to start the season before being benched and traded.
Gabriel took over in Week 5 in London but has struggled mostly with a concussion, leading to Sanders’ debut in Week 11 and first start in Week 12. Prior...

The Cleveland Browns knocked off the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season. Browns fans are happy with a victory, but the team now sits outside of the Top 5 of the 2026 NFL draft order. For some Cleveland fans and much of the general population, how QB Shedeur Sanders performed was the most important thing, but the Browns dominant defense and DE Myles Garrett taking his performance to another level were actually the keys to the game.
Sanders’ raw numbers were fine:
As our...

While the story coming out of the Week 12 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders is whether or not QB Shedeur Sanders did enough to hold on to the starting job, the real story was about the Browns defense, starting with DE Myles Garrett.
Some of the raw numbers say a lot. RB Ashton Jeanty only gained 50 yards on 17 carries. Star TE Brock Bowers had six catches but for only 55 yards. The Raiders offense was able to gain 19 first downs, but a lot of those came as Las Vegas was trying to make...

The Cleveland Browns entered Week 12 with a lot on the line, including the possibility of having the top overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft order heading into Week 13. Instead, the Browns destroyed the Las Vegas Raiders behind a great defensive performance, with DE Myles Garrett leading the way, and a couple of timely throws from QB Shedeur Sanders in his starting debut.
Most Browns fans were rooting for a victory over NFL draft positioning and got their wish.
The Jacksonville Jaguars also returned to their winning ways in Week 12, which means both of the picks slotted...

If you aren’t a fan of the Baltimore Ravens or the Cleveland Browns, you are probably feeling annoyed right now in the AFC North. The Ravens and the Browns both got wins in Week 12, while the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers both took home losses. The momentum in the division has officially swung from the Steelers to the Ravens, which was predictable for those who paid attention.
The 2025 NFL season is 12 weeks in, and we are starting to discover which teams are gearing towards the postseason and which are gearing towards the offseason.
Winner: QB Shedeur...
