In true NFL fashion, we have turned the annual regular season schedule release into a weeklong event. I enjoy the leaks and the fun of schedule release, but I may be in the minority on that front with most fans. I’ll probably write up a dozen or more schedule-related posts by next Saturday… so be ready for that. Ha!
It’s looking like each network will be announcing a game each day leading up to the Thursday, May 14th full schedule release event. Networks will be announcing select games on the following dates and times:

Denver Broncos general manager George Paton has been one of the most instrumental figures in helping navigate Denver out of the dungeon of losing and into a position where they are now viewed as Super Bowl contenders. He will remain with the team for an additional five years after a brand-new extension was agreed upon Friday.
A contract extension for George Paton was one of the top priorities of the offseason after navigating NFL Free Agency and the NFL Draft. Paton, one of the league’s most regarded executives, received...
BREAKING NEWS!
According to NFL Network’s league insider Tom Pelissero, the Denver Broncos are signing General Manager George Paton to a new five-year contract.
More on this developing story soon.

There have been 68 NFL QBs who have made 8 or more starts in both their second and third years in the NFL since the start of the 1994 season. All six of the QBs taken in the first round in 2024 are expected to do so in 2026. I looked at the relative change in QB stats from year two to year three for these 68 starters and then averaged how they fared. Most QBs who are going to make the jump from questionable starter to competent-long-term starter do so in their third NFL season in the modern NFL...

The Denver Broncos have had a lot of players come and go at the wide receiver position over the past decade, but one of the constants has been Courtland Sutton. Drafted in the second round out of Southern Methodist University in the 2018 NFL Draft, the former Mustangs standout has been one of the franchise’s most reliable players in that timeframe.
Sutton has started 98 games for the Broncos and appeared in 115 games since being selected. Through eight seasons of play (seven if you erase his 2020 campaign due to an ACL tear), Denver’s ‘X’ has caught 453 passes...

When Rod Smith speaks, you should listen.
One of the best players in Denver Broncos’ history, and one who should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, knows what he’s talking about. The former Broncos receiver was part of the back-to-back Super Bowl-winning teams in Denver, the latter of which is one of the best teams in NFL history.
That 1998 team in particular is the model. A complete team on both sides of the ball that dominated. But it was the offense that put that Broncos team over the top. Led by Terrell...

We have our first schedule leak of the season. This one is a leak for when the NFL plans to release the schedule. The date will be either Wednesday, May 13th or Thursday, May 14th. So next week.
This event is super fun for me personally, so I’ll be here to cover all of the Denver Broncos related leaks and rumors ahead of the announcements and will, of course, post the full schedule once its announced for discussion. Last year, I think I conservatively predicted a 10 or 11 win season and — for the first time in a decade...

According to 9NEWS Denver’s Broncos insider Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have signed rookie safety Miles Scott to a four-year deal. He joins rookies Justin Joly, Dallen Bentley, and Red Murdock as the Broncos’ rookies they have signed ahead of their rookie minicamp this weekend.
He’s a 6-0, 203-pound safety prospect with 4.62 speed and a 37.5-inch vertical. He started his college career as a wide receiver before transitioning to safety in the spring of 2023. From there, he would become a key part of their secondary and is viewed as an ascending talent due to his rawness at the...

The Denver Broncos are working to get as many deals done with their 2026 NFL Draft rookie class, and several of them have been completed before the team begins rookie minicamp on Friday.
Broncos football is back, in a minicamp capacity. After players reported earlier this week for the team’s offseason program, involving lifting, conditioning, and meetings, we’ll get our first glance at rookie draft picks and undrafted players as they report for rookie minicamp on Friday.
Ahead of Friday’s start of rookie minicamp, the Broncos have...
According to 9NEWS Denver’s Broncos insider Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have signed rookie 5th round pick, tight end Justin Joly, to a four-year deal.
Joly is a 6-3, 245-pound tight end with 32 3/4 inch arms and 10 5/8 inch hands and profiles as a contested catch move tight end who will be a weapon in the middle of the field and in the red zone.
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler had Justin Joly as his TE5 in this draft and had a 3rd/4th round grade on him. Now, the Broncos trade up to get him in the 5th round....

Last year, the Denver Broncos floated the idea of Evan Engram being a ‘joker’ for their offense. All offseason, the hope was that veteran tight end would be a significant difference maker for the Broncos’ offense. It had been years since the franchise had seen significant production at the position.
Sadly, Engram wasn’t a needle mover at all. He struggled to make waves in his first year in Denver. In sixteen games, Denver’s highly touted free agent acquisition hauled in only 50 catches for 461 yards and 1 touchdown. The yardage and touchdown output were some of the worst of...
Mile High Report
Good morning, Broncos Country. The Denver Broncos will host their annual rookie minicamp starting on May 8-May 10. On top of this year’s rookie class and undrafted free agent signees, the Broncos have invited over twenty other players to participate.
In addition to the above, Denver is also bringing in two quarterbacks to be the team’s signal callers during the three-day event. According to 9News insider Mike Klis, quarterback Nathan Peterman will be present. He certainly isn’t a rookie, but a player who has enough experience to guide the way for all the rookies looking to continue their NFL journeys....
