The Seattle Seahawks are reigning Super Bowl champions heading into the 2026 season. Seattle lost some of their best players during NFL free agency. But they still have enough talent to compete for the Super Bowl again this fall. A few recent updates should have Seahawks fans itching for the beginning of training camp later this summer.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler gave a positive injury update on Zach Charbonnet in a recent social media post.
“Also on Seattle’s offense, RB Zach Charbonnet has a late July check-up on his knee. By all indications he’s progressing well,” Fowler wrote on Monday.
Charbonnet is recovering from his season-ending injury during the playoffs. Head coach Mike Macdonald is optimistic about his recovery, even leaving the door open for a Week 1 return.
Meanwhile, rookie running back Jadarian Price is also receiving hype before training camp.
“The Seahawks have been impressed with rookie RB Jadarian Price’s open-field vision so far,” Fowler added.
It is good to hear that Seattle could have some stability in their backfield early in the 2026 season.
These updates come after Fowler gave additional previews about Seattle’s new-look offense on Sunday via NFL Live.
“More motions and shifts in the offense, they will have that with Brian Fleury,” Fowler said. “I’m told that Sam Darnold’s really comfortable with that. Rasheed Shaheed, we know he’s fast. He had a major spring. I was told he and Sam Darnold hitting it off. They’re going to give him more, some of those routes you saw Jaxon Smith-Njigba was running so well last year. He’ll still do those, but they’re going to give more short to intermediate stuff to Rashid Shaheed.”
Seahawks fans have plenty to be excited about during training camp. But there is still about a month left to wait.
Seattle’s training camp kicks off on July 25th and concludes on August 13th. Rookies will report on July 17th and veterans on the 24th.
