Burrow was animated on the sidelines during the Titans game last weekend.

Everyone was interested in the details of Joe Burrow and Zac Taylor’s heated conversation on the sideline this past weekend.

The Cincinnati Bengals were up 17 over the Tennessee Titans with around one minute left in the game when the FOX broadcast cut to Taylor and Burrow going back and forth on the sideline.

It is clear Burrow was incredibly upset with the offense against the Titans Sunday afternoon, including his three turnovers.

After the game Taylor was asked about the interaction and he simply wrote it off saying, “It was just a conversation back and forth.”

Fast-forward to Wednesday afternoon during his weekly press conference, where Taylor added some more context that Bengals fans should pay attention to.

“He’s (Burrow) got a competitive edge to him that I balance as a head coach, because I’m always trying to lead the entirety of the team and balance things, but he’s got an edge to him that is what makes him who he is,” said Taylor.

This is something that Burrow has always carried with him and it clearly pushes him to be the best he can be at every level he has played.

The 6-8 record and poor offensive performance against a terrible Titans team had Burrow a bit more animated than usual which I am actually a huge fan of, and so is Taylor.

“I don’t want to change that for one second because who he is and what makes him tick is what makes Joe Burrow different from everybody else on this planet,” Taylor said.

Now, the Bengals have shifted their focus to the Browns as the team hopes to keep their playoff aspirations alive.
