Who has the worst offensive line in the NFL? There are few things more frustrating for a fan base, quarterback and coaching staff in the National Football League than an offensive line that can’t block. It’s one thing to struggle to create holes for a running back or to allow pass rushers through to the quarterback like turnstiles. For some teams, they have to experience the worst of both worlds.

With the first 10 weeks of the season over, here are the worst NFL offensive lines this season. The rankings factor in NFL stats from data gathered by both Pro Football Focus and ESPN.

  1. New York Jets

It looked promising early for the New York Jets offensive line in the regular-season opener, but it has been downhill ever since. Entering Week 11, New York had the second-lowest ESPN pass-block win rate (54 percent) in the league, while surrendering the highest pressure rate allowed (44.7 percent) and the fifth-highest pressure rate surrendered when an opponent does not blitz. The Jets’ run blocking remains a strength, but even that area is not as dominant as it once was.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders

There was a lot of excitement for the Las Vegas Raiders offense coming into the season. The hope was that Geno Smith would thrive behind a better offensive line than he had in Seattle, and first-round pick Ashton Jeanty would quickly become one of the most productive running backs in the NFL. Entering Week 11, Las Vegas had the second-lowest yards-per-carry average (3.7) in the NFL, and Smith had taken the fourth-most sacks (27) in the league. Beyond these basic numbers, the Raiders offensive line has allowed the highest rush-stuff rate (28.6 percent) in the league, with a 31.7 percent pressure

  1. New Orleans Saints

Given the relative inexperience of the New Orleans Saints in the trenches, it is not surprising that they have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL currently. Through 10 games, the Saints offensive line has allowed the fifth-most pressures (120) and ranks last in ESPN pass-block win rate (52 percent). Regarding its effectiveness in creating rushing lanes for Alvin Kamara, New Orleans ranks 30th in yards before contact per running back rush attempt (0.9) and 31st in ESPN run-stop win rate (68 percent).

  1. Cleveland Browns

Dillon Gabriel has probably been the worst quarterback in the NFL this season, but playing behind the Cleveland Browns offensive line certainly doesn’t help. Cleveland entered Week 11 with the lowest PFF Pass Blocking Efficiency (77.7), allowed a league-high 146 pressures, and ranked 28th in ESPN pass-block win rate (56 percent), while surrendering the third-highest pressure rate (41.2 percent). As for the Browns’ run blocking, this unit ranks dead last in yards before contact per RB rush (0.4) with the fifth-highest rush stuff rate allowed (20.2...
