Brock Purdy fans couldn’t have been all that pleased with the quarterback’s performance on Saturday night.
Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers had an opportunity to secure the NFC’s No. 1 seed and a first-round bye. It was a possibility at 12-4, but they ended up losing to the Seattle Seahawks, who put on a defensive masterclass.
The 49ers QB didn’t have his best showing out there. Purdy went 19-of-27 for 127 yards and an interception in the 13-2 loss. He also hurt his thumb pretty badly.
The home team only managed a field goal in four quarters, which prompted the resurfacing of a man dubbed “the world’s biggest Brock Purdy fan” for all the wrong reasons.
“Good morning from apparently the world’s biggest Brock Purdy fan,” Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor originally shared in December.
She wondered how he was feeling on Saturday, given Brock’s struggles.
“i wonder how this guy is doing tonight,” she joked.
“That hood in a very unfortunate position🤣,” someone pointed out.

The loss drops the Niners into the Wild Card bracket, so they will finish either No. 5 or No. 6 in the NFC. The Seahawks, meanwhile, have clinched the No.1 seed with a 14-3 regular season.
