The woman who went viral as a result of her failed attempt to get a hug from Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been identified – and you’ll probably be spending some time on her social media pages as her content is what some might describe as “fire.”
Said woman and Chase started trending online after a video surfaced on several X accounts showing her walking up to the NFL’s highest-paid non-quarterback and putting an arm around him.
Chase, who was coming from Zero Bond in New York City, walked past like she wasn’t even there, drawing a shocked look that suggested they knew each other and such a snub was unexpected.
It didn’t take social media detectives to ID the woman in question. She did that herself, taking to both Instagram and TikTok to reference the cold shoulder with claims that she and Chase are friends.
“Dang,” she captioned the clip. “I can’t hug a old friend in NYC.”
“I wouldn’t have even spoke on this, gotta act like it never happened lmaoo,” someone confessed in the comments.
“Sista the face you made now you know he’s not just a friend 😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😂😭,” another wrote.
“I would have just kept quiet about the situation. This makes it a bigger L 😩😩😩,” one user remarked.
