The offseason is over! The Chicago Bears have whittled their roster down to the mandated 53 players (for now), and they’ve turned their attention to week one for the Monday Night matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
This will be Chicago’s most anticipated opening game since 2019, when they were coming off the NFC North title and were facing the Green Bay Packers in the franchise’s 100th anniversary season. That game (and season) didn’t go so well as Matt Nagy failed to build off the previous 12-win campaign and Mitch Trubisky regressed.
This time, the Bears are coming off a 5-12 season, but they’re led by the hottest head coaching candidate to come around in years, and the former number one overall draft pick.
The excitement level was high back in January when Ben Johnson was hired, but where are you at now that the team has gone through free agency, the draft, OTAs, training camp, two joint practices, and three preseason games?
Are you more confident in the team than you were earlier this offseason, about the same, or less confident?
