Lester’s work here is done.

We’re going a full two rounds in our 2025 SB Nation Writers’ Mock Draft this year, and I just made my final pick for the Chicago Bears. In case you missed it, I traded back in the first, dropping down to 20 with the Broncos for their 2025 first-rounder (20th overall), their 2025 second-round pick (51st), and a 2026 fifth-round pick.

Here’s what I did with my first three picks.

20 - Josh Simmons, LT, Ohio State

39 - Nic Scourton, DE, Texas A&M

41 - Alfred Collins, DT, Texas

And with the 51st pick in the 2025 SB Nation Mock Draft, the Chicago Bears select... TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

I'm a fan of Henderson because he has the traits you want in a running back these days. Henderson has breakaway speed (4.43 forty), he’s a good receiver, has outstanding ball security, and he can pass block. Also, the character stuff is a positive checkmark. “They LOVE, LOVE him in that program,” said an NFC director of scouting. “He’s unselfish, really productive, can play on all three downs, and is about the team first.”

Being able to get Henderson is a calculated risk I took when trading back off ten. It’s not that I don’t think Ashton Jeanty isn’t going to be a fabulous pro, it’s that I feel there were a couple of backs that weren’t that far below what Jeanty can give an offense. I also believe Ben Johnson’s offense can be effective whether he’s getting RB1 or RB2 in this draft class.

Getting an extra second-rounder and a future pick while adding a potential left tackle upgrade was too good to pass up.

This week has seen Henderson with some first-round buzz, so I’m not sure he lasts this long, but my fellow SB Nation writers left him for me, and it was a no-brainer.
