FOXBORO — Stefon Diggs has shown no signs his ACL injury from last season is holding him back. But right now, he’s forced to wait for the all clear from the New England Patriots.

However, with training camp six weeks away, and the season right around the corner after that, will he be out there with the team in Week 1?

“We’ll see how it goes. Obviously, I’m not making the rules,” Diggs said at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday. “I’m grinding each and every day. Obviously, I can’t do much of the team stuff, but I’m eager to get out there, so whenever they do press the button, I’m going to be ready. I’m grinding through every day.”

Every day he gets the opportunity to practice allows his leg to gets stronger.

“I’m confident. I took my rehab pretty serious,” Diggs said. “When I came here, obviously, was in a mindset of trying to get after and get going. But it’s kind of like a dog on a leash. You want to bring them back a little bit, especially me, because I want to go, but it’s the timing of everything. And I’m looking forward to training camp.”

So, has he passed his physical?

“I haven’t had it yet. We had something like it, so maybe I have passed it, but it’s kind of up to them,” Diggs said. “I kind of just been playing it by ear and just doing what I can.”

Diggs’ deal is tied to him passing the physical, but when asked if he has received the money yet, he jokingly said, “I got to check the account.”
