There’s a peculiar and blatantly false trade rumor going around that Travis Kelce is on his way to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The fact that the rumor has surfaced in the first place is outrageous enough. Travis Kelce isn’t going anywhere. But what’s even more bizarre is how the Kelce-Steelers blockbuster trade speculation popped up in the first place.

Kelce is entering the final season of a two-year extension he signed last year. At this phase of his career, Kelce is taking it year to year. If he’s not playing in Kansas City in 2026, chances are that it’s because he chose to hang up the cleats.

A TikTok account with the handle @clipsfor4l has become notorious for posting fake football news, such as Joe Burrow getting dealt to the New York Jets, Arch Manning entering the transfer portal and Ashton Jeanty being traded to the New England Patriots.

One of those videos includes a headline about Travis Kelce getting traded to the Steelers. But if you go to the video’s caption, it reads, “Travis Kelce has been traded to the Pittsburg Steelers for Dk Melcalf. 🚨 this is fake and a prank.”

The video above has over 299,000 views now, so chances are that a good amount of fans fell for the fake story. But relax, Chiefs fans. Kelce isn’t going anywhere.
