Things got a bit heated at the end of the Lions-Chiefs game.
After the Chiefs kneeled the ball to seal their win, Patrick Mahomes went to shake hands with Lions’ defensive back Brian Branch. Branch ignored Mahomes, and walked over to slap Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Brian Branch refused to shake Patrick Mahomes’s hand and then struck JuJu Smith-Schuster, NBC’s replay of the postgame altercation shows. The NFL surely will consider disciplinary measures.

Multiple players were involved in the brawl, which took a few minutes to break up.
A fight broke out at the end of the Lions/Chiefs game..

Mahomes offered a brief explanation of what went on before the brawl during his postgame interview.
“I mean, we play the game in between the whistles. They can do all the extracurricular stuff they want to do. But we play the game in between the whistles and we thought we played a great game today.”
It’s clear that Branch is going to get a call from the league office for his actions.
