The New England Patriots will play at home next Sunday for the first time since they beat the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 28.
Wide receiver DeMario Douglas can’t wait to get in front of the home fans for the first time in almost a month.
“I know the energy’s gonna be out the roof,” Douglas said on Sunday, via 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Alex Barth. “Our fans man, we have some good fans. We have some great fans. I can’t wait. There’s nothing better than at home.”
New England wrapped up its three consecutive road games with a solid victory, defeating the Tennessee Titans 31-13 on Sunday.
Playing three consecutive games on the road never poses an easy challenge for any NFL team, especially for a relatively young Patriots squad. However, they won three straight games, including one against the Buffalo Bills.
Patriots fans haven’t celebrated much in recent years, so heading to a home game at the end of October with New England sitting at the top of the AFC East will feel like a blast from the past.
New England has dominated away games, boasting an impressive 4-0 record, while the team has struggled at home with a 1-2 record. This Sunday, the Patriots will take on the Cleveland Browns, a team that has yet to secure a road win this season.
