With the Chicago Bears traveling to play the Kansas City Chiefs this Friday in the preseason finale, it got me thinking… When the new look Bears are finally ready to compete for a Super Bowl, the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are a likely opponent. The Chiefs are perennial contenders, and if Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams are who we hope they are, Chicago’s playoff window will be opening soon.
I know, I know, they’ve yet to play a regular season game as play caller-quarterback, but the point of drafting Caleb and hiring Ben is getting the franchise to the Super Bowl, right?
While I do think the Bears will push for a postseason berth this season, an NFC Championship would be a lofty accomplishment in Johnson’s first year.
