Although the Pittsburgh Steelers are still a little over two months away from the 2025 NFL Draft, that hasn’t stopped the Black and Gold faithful from flooding mock drafts with predictions on who should end up in the Steel City.

While many agree that defensive line is arguably the biggest area of importance to address with the 21st overall pick in the first round, Steelers fans have shown a clear preference for one prospect, according to data analyzed from PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator.

Pro Football Focus recently published its findings on the most-mock-drafted prospect for each of the 32 NFL teams, and the Pittsburgh Steelers were linked to none other than Texas WR Matthew Golden.

PFF broke down what makes Golden such a sought-after prospect among Steelers fans:

“Golden is a talented player whose movement skills should translate well to the NFL. His advanced avenues of success—whether through beating press, impressive footwork, after-the-catch ability, or kick-return prowess—make him a player who could be a high-end WR2 in the league.”

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers use the 21st overall pick to select their wideout of the future, or is everyone simply ignoring the Black and Gold’s history of passing on first-round wide receivers?
