Crossing Broad
This is kind of soft from Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino:
Yeah well guess what? It’s your job to analyze this. Imagine if the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s said “I am done with flipping burgers,” or the guy at the carpet place said “I am done stretching carpets.” You know what they’d do? They’d tell ’em to take a hike and go find someone else to flip the burgers and stretch the carpets.
Here’s the thing –
Blandino isn’t even off-base in what he’s saying. It IS a hard play to officiate. No duh. But you’re paid the big bucks to analyze it to the best of your ability in front of tens of millions of people, not give us your personal opinion. So either give it the ‘ole college try or Fox can find another former zebra to give us an informed opinion.
This is whiner behavior. We all have to do stuff we don’t want to do at our jobs. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing about the Sixers and I’d rather sit on my ass and play Diablo 4. But you know what? I suck it up and open up the laptop anyway. Dean Blandino needs to pull himself up by the bootstraps and do his job.
