The Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar tight end Travis Kelce will turn 36 in October. He’s entering his 13th NFL season — the final year of his contract — and has settled into a long-term relationship with the world’s most popular singer.
For these (and other) reasons, it is widely believed that Kelce will retire after this season. But at the same time, Kelce has often said he’ll keep playing “until the wheels fall off” — and when he appeared for the team’s mandatory minicamp practice on Tuesday, he had dropped 25 pounds in the offseason.
“If it’s the last ride, you would never know,” said quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the end of May. “The way he’s talking about football, the way he’s talking about working and trying to be even better this year than he was last year. He doesn’t seem like a guy that it’s his last ride — like he’s tired of the job. He’s in there, he’s working and I know his body feels good.”
So what do you think?
