We kicked off another WCG roundtable yesterday, and today’s question is all about the o-line.

The first round of the NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday, April 24, so a few of us at WCG are running through a Chicago Bears, draft-centric roundtable.

Today’s question: Who is the one offensive lineman you want the Bears to draft?

And here’s what a few of us had to say.

Jacob Infante: Tackle might be the bigger need for the Bears, but I’d love Donovan Jackson as a long-term guard option in Round 2. He just feels like such an easy translation to the next level as an experienced starter at a blue-blood program with high-end agility and a powerful anchor. He’s a smart guard prospect who proved in 2024 he can kick out to tackle in a pinch, as well.

Josh Sunderbruch: I have developed a weird attachment to Aireontae Ersery, who plays with a combination of high motor and decent initial quickness. He has more power in his hands than technique or timing, and he can overcommit a little, but he plays through the whistle.

Bryan Orenchuk: Armand Membou would have the highest ceiling and could thrive at T or G for us. So either him early or Willie Lampkin late.

Mongo Peanut: Aireontae Ersery. I think Ersery is one of the few prospects this year who has the right size profile for an LT. He’s a mammoth at 6’6” and 331 lbs and has been a steady contributor for the Golden Gophers. He’d be a fantastic get in the post-Braxton Jones era.

Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.: If I thought he’d make it to 10, I’d say Will Campbell because that guy has Pro Bowl upside. I have no idea where he’d play, but North Carolina’s Willie Lampkin would be fun. He may not have the size (5’10”, 270) to hold up against mammoth nose tackles, but he has the technique and tenacity to carve out a reserve role at all three interior positions.

Now it’s your turn, which o-lineman do you hope the Bears will come out of the draft with?

In case you missed it, yesterday’s topic was about the running back we want the Bears to draft.
