Buffalo Rumblings
Every year the National Football League announces their Top 100 players heading into the upcoming season. These rankings are determined solely by player surveys that are done while the process ends around Thanksgiving meaning they are voting about their peers before key stretches of the season.
Which Buffalo Bills should we expect to appear in the top 100 this year?
The first and obvious choice would be quarterback Josh Allen. Allen has been near the top of the rankings the past couple of seasons, and there’s no reason to believe that will change. He’s coming off a 39 total touchdown season with over four thousand yards of total offense. He’s the leader of the franchise and has proven time and time again he should be ranked among the best players in the league.
Our very own Chris Trapasso thinks he’s the best player in the NFL
We can expect running back James Cook to be in the mix this year, and probably in the Top 50. Cook was the league leader in rushing yards with over 1,600 and had twelve touchdowns to add to his resume. Cook has established himself to be one of the top young rushers and should be voted as such by his peers. He was ranked 89th last season but look for him to be much higher.
Another player we could point to is left tackle Dion Dawkins. Dawkins was 42nd last season and is viewed by his peers as one of the best offensive tackles in the league. He had another solid season for the Bills in 2025 but fans would say his performance took a slight decline, especially when it came to false start penalties. I still remain confident that Dawkins will be in the rankings this year but do not be surprised if he is outside the top 50.
Unfortunately those three are probably the best shot for the Bills as they just do not have enough flashy players to be amount the 100 best in the league. We can argue that someone like cornerback Christian Benford should be but, he does not seem to get the respect across the NFL that he deserves.
