Who has a chance to take home some hardware ?

With training camp 13 days away for the San Francisco 49ers, the team is out to prove that last season was a blip on the radar for a team that is competing for Super Bowls.

2023 was a season marked by numerous awards for 49ers players. Christian McCaffrey was named Offensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-Pro. Fred Warner, Kyle Juszczyk, Trent Williams, and George Kittle joined McCaffrey on the first team. Brandon Aiyuk and Charvarius Ward were both named to the second team.

Brock Purdy finished as an MVP finalist in 2023, but which players are good bets to take home a season award in 2025?

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Lamar Jackson is the betting favorite to win MVP at +500. Purdy is tied for sixth-best odds to bring home the trophy at +2500 with C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love. It’s difficult to bet against Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen, but Purdy provides a high upside selection to take home some cash in 2025.

Nick Bosa is a former Defensive Player of the Year and sits at +1300, which is also the sixth-best odds. Micah Parsons is the favorite at +600. Interestingly enough, Aidan Hutchinson (+700) has better odds than Bosa, even while recovering from a devastating knee injury in 2024.

McCaffrey has an uphill battle to reclaim the OPOY award. The 49ers running back is tied with CeeDee Lamb at +2000, but the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, Saquon Barkley, is a heavy favorite at +550.

The best chance for McCaffrey to claim some hardware in 2025 is as the Comeback Player of the Year. Only Dak Prescott (+300) and Hutchinson (+320) are ahead of McCaffrey, whose odds are set at +370. Brandon Aiyuk is returning from a knee injury in 2024 and has his odds at +3000.

What about the NFL coach of the year? Newcomer Ben Johnson leads the pack at +650, but Kyle Shanahan is behind Mike Vrabel, Liam Coen, Aaron Glenn, Mike MacDonald, Pete Carroll, and Dave Canales at +2000.

An interesting bet is for Defensive Rookie of the Year, Mykel Williams is third at +1000 behind Abdul Carter and Jalon Walker. Carter should be the betting favorite as the number one defender in the NFL draft, but Williams has a chance to return a big profit with a big first season.
