The New England Patriots play just two games with FOX Sports broadcasts in 2025.
Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and half of the network’s No. 1 team with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, did not call a game involving the team he spent 20 years with in his debut broadcast season.
Following Wednesday’s 2025 NFL schedule release, the Patriots currently have just two chances to get Brady on the call. It’s not impossible, but the chances of the No. 1 team at FOX making the trip to Gillette Stadium is slim.
The two FOX games for New England come in Week 4 against the Panthers and Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns. CBS hosts the nationally televised 4:25 p.m. ET slot in those two weeks, which means Brady and Burkhardt will call one of FOX’s 1 p.m. ET games. That note does favor the Patriots, but it could still be tough.
Here’s what the NFL on FOX slate looks like in the two weeks the Patriots play on the network.
FOX Week 4 Slate:
Cleveland Browns @ Detroit Lions (1 p.m. ET)
Carolina Panthers @ New England Patriots (1 p.m. ET)
Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1 p.m. ET)
Indianapolis Colts @ Los Angeles Rams (4:05 p.m. ET)
Jacksonville Jaguars @ San Francisco 49ers (4:05 p.m. ET)
FOX Week 8 Slate:
Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots (1 p.m. ET)
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles (1 p.m. ET)
Buffalo Bills @ Carolina Panthers (1 p.m. ET)
San Francisco 49ers @ Houston Texans (1 p.m. ET)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (4:05 p.m. ET.)
Week 4 probably sends Brady to his other former club in Tampa Bay, where he called multiple games last season, against the reigning champions in the Eagles. In all honesty, the Patriots’ best chance to have Brady on the call comes in Week 8. The greatest competition for Brady and Burkhardt likely comes with the 49ers-Texans matchup.
What do you think, Patriots fans? Will Brady broadcast one of New England’s games on FOX this year?
