The Indianapolis Colts (8-5) travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks (10-3)(-13.5) to try to keep their late season playoff hopes alive. This Sunday’s late afternoon game kicks off at 4:25 PM EST.
Of course, for the Colts, all eyes will be on longtime veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who shockingly unretired earlier this week to re-sign with Indianapolis, and will be starting his first game in nearly five years. It will be rookie quarterback Riley Leonard backing him up, with Brett Rypien will be the QB3 (inactive).
The Colts come in scoring the 5th most points per game (28.9 avg. ppg) and allowing the 13th most points defensively at 21.9 avg. ppg. Meanwhile, the Seahawks, with Sam Darnold under center, score the league’s 2nd most points (29.8 avg. ppg.) and surrender the league’s 2nd fewest points (17.4 avg. ppg).
For Colts gameday radio coverage, Matt Taylor will be handling play-by-play, with Charles Arbuckle (color analyst) and Larra Overton (sideline reporting) joining him on the call. Colts fans can tune in locally on 93.5/107.5 The Fan or 97.1 Hank FM. Sirius XM subscribers can also catch the game on Channel 384.
For CBS’s game day coverage, Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst), Jason McCourty (analyst), and AJ Ross (sideline) will be providing the TV commentary. Colts fans can watch on CBS, NFL+, and YouTubeTV.
The TV map can be found here.
For the officiating, it will be Adrian Hill and his crew.
Weather in Seattle at kickoff is expected to be around 56 degrees, partly cloudy, with lingering damp conditions.
Colts lead the all-time series 7-6-0. The Seahawks won the two teams’ last matchup 28-16 on September 12, 2021 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
