The Indianapolis Colts (8-2) travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (5-5) (-3.5) at 1 PM EST for a key AFC clash down the season’s final stretch run here.
The Colts lead the league in scoring (at 32.1 avg. ppg.) while their defense surrenders the 9th fewest points (20.6 avg. ppg.)—and should be boosted with the return of starting outside All-Pro cornerback Charvarius Ward against his former team. It’ll mark the first time that both Ward and recently acquired fellow All-Pro outside cornerback Sauce Gardner have started opposite one another in a revamped Colts secondary.
Meanwhile the Chiefs score the 9th most points (25.4 avg. ppg), led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and allow the 4th fewest (18.1 avg. ppg.) respectively—on a unit that still has veteran All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones in the middle and is well coached under longtime defensive coordinator Steve Spagnulo.
The Colts remain the only NFL opponent that Mahomes hasn’t beaten yet in his prolific career with the Chiefs.
