Couple of reports floating around out there about various illnesses inflicted upon the Philadelphia Eagles:
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio told me Jalen Carter has an illness that is going around through some of the team, but he hopes Jalen will be good for the Super Bowl. Jalen was a limited participant in practice yesterday and was not at the media sessions. pic.twitter.com/l3nHE55Deo

Get this man some Pedialyte and a lot of sleep.
This is from Mike Sielski at the Inquirer:
“Four or five” Eagles players are sick with the flu or flu-related illnesses, tackle Lane Johnson said Thursday, raising the question of whether the team will be shorthanded or at least hampered for Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Chiefs.
Jalen Carter, the Eagles’ star defensive tackle, was listed as “limited” at the team’s Wednesday practice because of an illness. Rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell did not attend Wednesday’s media availability and, though he was there for Thursday’s session, has laryngitis. Some team officials have been wearing masks, and the massive crowd at Monday’s Media Night at the Superdome certainly created an opportunity for germs and viruses to spread easily.
The Thursday injury report listed Carter with “illness,” but as a full participant. Mitchell was not on the list. The only limited participants were Nick Gates with a groin, Brandon Graham coming back from elbow surgery, and DeVonta Smith with a hammy. That’s it. Everyone else was a full go, but you also don’t end up on the injury report if you’ve got a sore throat or body chills. All these guys are gonna play, you just wonder if they feel junky. It’s like being the parent of small children. There is a baseline level of feeling like shit that you basically truck through all winter long because there is a job to be done. Hopefully the Eagles aren’t dealing with pre-K levels of germ factory production. There is a Lombardi Trophy to win. Also, on the legal sports betting front, there doesn’t seem to be any significant movement suggesting that there is some sort of bubonic plague ravaging the Birds. A cursory glance of bet365, BetMGM, and ESPN Bet shows lines holding. By the way, don’t wait until Sunday to start betting. Get in now and claim your sign up bonus. We will track illness reports in the meantime.
