Throughout the 2024 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers searched far and wide for a capable receiver opposite George Pickens who could elevate the Black and Gold offense to the next level.

The Steelers longed for just about any wideout with two hands and the ability to catch a football. However, as much of the Steel City faithful are well aware, there was little to show for it.

Star WR Deebo Samuel has been granted permission by the 49ers to seek a trade, and the Pittsburgh Steelers should send one Day 2 draft pick their way.

Ever since Samuel’s breakout 2021 season that saw the wideout accumulate 1,770 yards from scrimmage and 14 total TDs, the 49ers receiver has struggled to find any of his previous success over the past few seasons.

With that in mind, Samuel is immensely talented; he simply plays on a star-studded 49ers offense that is extremely crowded.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers can fathom parting ways with a second- or third-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, Samuel could take the Black and Gold offense to new heights next season.
