Taylor Doll got the inside scoop of what two new Bears assistant coaches will bring to Ben Johnson’s coaching staff.

On her latest Making Monsters podcast, Taylor Doll talked with Maddy Hudak, sideline reporter for Tulane football, about new Chicago Bears offensive line coach Dan Roushar and his time with the Greenwave. Maddy also covered Roushar during his time with the New Orleans Saints, so they discussed both stops.

Hukak told a story about Roushar that was relayed to her by former Tulane head coach Willie Fritz.

“He [Fritz] said that he would go and sit in on the O-line meeting rooms just because he enjoyed listening to Dan Roushar as a teacher and the way he was really able to dictate that down to the guys on the team.”

She said 2024 head coach Jon Sumrall would do the same thing: sit in on Roushar’s position meetings.

In addition, Taylor is joined by James H. Williams, who covers L.A. sports, including UCLA, for the USA Today. Williams discusses the new Bears running backs coach Eric Bieniemy’s time with the Bruins, what went wrong there, and what he’ll bring to Ben Johnson’s coaching staff.
