Today, it’s the lessons to be learned from the Philadelphia Eagles win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
The Eagles did not have the better quarterback, and they did not have the better head coach, but they won with dominant play through the trenches, with their offensive line giving Jalen Hurts all day to throw and Saquon Barkley rushing lanes, while Patrick Mahomes was repeatedly harassed by the Eagles defensive line, throwing multiple interceptions.
The Steelers don’t have that superstar quarterback, and they don’t appear to have a chance to get one this offseason, either. But they can — and have been — replicating Eagles general manager Howie Roseman’s plan of building through the trenches.
