What other NFL teams are in ‘must-win’ mode this week?
Inside The Star Inside The Star

Well, if you haven’t heard by now, the only way for the Cowboys to make the playoffs is to win out and the Eagles to lose out.

With that said, as you look around the league this week, a few other teams are in ‘must-win’ mode, including a few that we are not used to saying that about.

We know what the Cowboys need to do, but I wanted to dive into a few other teams that you should keep an eye on going forward as a football fan.

All of these teams are in desperate mode, and need a lot of help, just like Dallas!

Baltimore Ravens

That two-time MVP is on the outside looking in, and like the Cowboys, the only chance they are going to have is to win their division. That means the Steelers are going to have to lose of these next two games.

They square off in week 18, and if the Ravens can win and the Steelers drop at least one, that game will be for the AFC North crown.

Let’s be honest though, the Ravens play the Patriots this week at home on Sunday Night Football. If they lose this game, you can kiss any chance they have at the playoffs’ goodbye.

Nonetheless, they are in must-win mode.

Detroit Lions

How about the team that just beat the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football two weeks ago?

After beating Dallas, the Lions find themselves on the outside looking in still after they lost 41-34 to the top-seeded Los Angeles Rams last Sunday.

Detroit needs to win out, and get significant help if they want to make the playoffs.

Primarily needing the Chicago Bears to lose at least two of their final three games, and potentially needing the Green Bay Packers or San Francisco 49ers/Seahawks to stumble, to secure a Wild Card spot or even win the NFC North.

We are finding a common denominator here, aren’t we? These teams are in a must-win and need to get a lot of help from others.

Indianapolis Colts

What a season this team has gone through, huh? They held the stop seed for a little over a month, and the moment that Daniel Jones had his injury, you just felt all the air go out of the Colts.

If you did not watch the game last week, then please watch Philip Rivers this week against the 49ers on Monday night.

After not playing for five years, I really thought he was going to beat Seattle, he had a chance.

The Colts primarily need to win their remaining tough games, especially against fellow AFC South contenders Jacksonville and Houston, securing the division title.

They can also get in as a Wild Card if they win enough and get help from other AFC teams losing, like the Chargers or Bills, depending on the exact scenarios as the season finishes.

Just think about this for a moment, the NFL playoffs this year might not have...
