Steve Smith Sr. is one of the best players to have ever played in the NFL, and there is no doubt about it. His stats when he played for the Carolina Panthers were some of the most consistent of any NFL receiver.
The former Panthers and Ravens pass catcher are not perfect, though. Mind you, no one is. After some recent headlines, he is finding himself in some hot water after he was accused by a man of having an affair with his wife.
While it may be unfortunate for Smith Sr, it’s also sad for those involved in the media scrum. One company that wasn’t involved in the whole thing is now being dragged into the mess.
Ravens broadcaster and former player Tony Martinez took to X to expose his wife for cheating on him with Steve Smith Sr. in a now-deleted tweet. In the tweet, Martinez tagged both Yeti and Taylor Made Golf, in since delted tweet.
Martinez decided to tag all the sponsors in Smith Sr.’s X bio to get the former legendary receiver’s attention. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked, as Smith has not responded publicly to the allegation.
At this point, it all seems very convincing as Martinez added screenshots of the text messages sent back and forth between his wife and Smith Sr, which included some interesting comments to one another.
The only thing Smith has said about the situation is “I’m sorry,” in a now-deleted video in which Martinez confronted the former receiver and exposed his number on social media. It is now just a waiting game to see what develops.
