The Washington Commanders lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, and possibly lost Marcus Marcus Mariota to injury. He was cleared of a concussion, but also suffered hand and quad injuries. He’s day-to-day, but with the Commanders playing again on Sunday, we could see more of Josh Johnson at QB. Head coach Dan Quinn said they have the options of elevating Sam Hartman, or signing another QB. Either way, if Mariota can’t play on Christmas Day, it’s going to be a rough game to watch.
The Dallas Cowboys played today, and they didn’t have much to play for after Philly’s win yesterday eliminated them from playoff contention. They lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 34-17, and are now 6-8-1 on the season. The Cowboys beat the Commanders 44-22 in their first meeting, and are coming to Northwest Stadium as the favorites again.
