Which Buffalo Bills free agent is the most important to re-sign?

Brutal. Deflated. Sad.

I was a lot of things on Sunday night after the Buffalo Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. I wrote a couple articles, took the dog for a walk, and sat down around 12:30 Monday morning and just scrolled through my phone for an hour. I skipped every NFL-related thing that came up. I just needed some time to clear my head.

It didn’t work. For the first time since 13 seconds, a football game got in my head and I slept like crap.

After taking my kids to school, I took a little nap and woke up and went to work. I had moved on.

My coworkers here at SB Nation all know I’m a huge Bills fan, so they apologized to me on Sunday night or treated me with kid gloves on Monday, but I didn’t need it by then. I had moved on to being grateful for the season. I work from home, so there isn’t a lot of small talk in my life.

Then I started seeing other people — my kid’s hockey practice, a concert, a random text, appearing on Pat Moran’s podcast — it’s all everyone wanted to talk about, so I kept getting hit in the face with it. I had to keep saying the same things about refs, or Josh Allen, or the defense. It’s still happening.

So I guess it’s just going to keep happening for a few weeks until the Chiefs win or lose the Super Bowl. Probably longer than that, too. We’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again.

Until next year, when I hope we don’t have to anymore.

How have you dealt with the Bills loss to the Chiefs? Have any interesting anecdotes from the game or this week? Leave your thoughts on this or anything else in the comments section.
