Two weeks into the 2025 NFL season and we are getting a clearer picture of what this year’s cream of the crop looks like in the QB rooms across the league and our Week 2 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings reflect that.

Some major shifts in the NFL quarterback power rankings occurred from the NFL Preseason to Week 1 and again in Week 2, especially after Joe Burrow went out with Turf Toe and signs indicate he’ll be on the bench for an extended period of time.

Week 2 Power Ranking All 32 Starting NFL Quarterbacks In 2025

During last week’s NFL Starting Quarterback Power Rankings there was a TON of movement. With each week we get more data and a deeper understanding of the ebbs and flows of each starting QB’s games but early on in th season like this we still see a lot of movement.

32. Justin Fields – New York Jets (Prev. 20)

Justin Fields didn’t look good at all before he went out with an injury. He was just 3/11 in passing for 27 yards and 0 TDs. Fields did scramble for 49 yards but we didn’t see a complete game from him as Tyrod Taylor came in post-injury.

31. J.J. McCarthy – Minnesota Vikings (Prev. 16)

So in Week 1 J.J. McCarthy started off shaky but orchestrated that incredible 4th quarter comeback. Week 2 was… bad. Was it an anomaly? We won’t know for a while because it appears J.J. McCarthy got injured near the end of the game and could sit for a while.

Prior to that, he was 11/21 for 158 yards with 2 interceptions and 0 touchdowns. He also took 6 sacks and fumbled the ball three times! When he comes back from the injury he will need to make rapid improvements.

30. Spencer Rattler – New Orleans Saints (Prev. 31)

Spencer Rattler showed a lot of improvement in Week 2 over week 1. He was 25/34 in passing for 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions while scrambling for 14 yards.

Ultimately, New Orleans lost at home by 5. Rattler did have a costly fumble but that was his biggest mistake of the game. He’s improving and he will continue to move up the power rankings week after week if he plays like he did last Sunday.

29. Sam Darnold – Seattle Seahawks (Prev. 29)

Sam Darnold made some big improvement from Week 1 into Week 2 and got Seattle’s first win of the season, 31-17 on the road in Pittsburgh. He threw for 295 yards and 2 touchdowns but also threw 2 interceptions which is a red flag in a game where they Seahawks never really felt much pressure.

28. Caleb Williams – Chicago Bears (Prev. 17)

After showing sparks in Week 1, Caleb Williams fell in the Week 2 Starting QB Power Rankings after the Bears got demolished by the Lions. Caleb was just 19 of 30 in passing for 2 TDs and 1 INT....
