If the Colts are to have any chance of making the playoffs, then the Broncos have to start losing.
And we are off for the final stretch of this NFL season, with a matchup that has a ton of playoff implications, as even though the Colts are almost eliminated there is still a chance (though some unlikely results would need to happen, the most unlikeliest of them all is the Colts winning out). Tonight the Los Angeles Chargers (- 148) host the Denver Broncos (+ 130), with the home team opening up as 2.5-point favourites, and the OU at 41.5.
As we all know, the Broncos beat the Colts last week. I admit there might be some bias here, but it seemed more like the Colts lost the game than the Broncos won it, but don’t get me wrong they are a really good football team led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix and a stellar defense.
The Chargers were blown out by the Tampa Bay Bucs last week, after going into halftime with the lead. The second half was not even close, with the Bucs scoring three touchdowns and shutting down the Chargers’ offense. This team has a lot of glaring weaknesses, but they are where they are because of a good head coach, and a good quarterback, which can help cover up a ton of flaws.
Overall, while any result benefits the Colts I think the Broncos losing this one works better for us. This will be a close contest, and definitely one worth watching.
