Cold, windy conditions can make throwing the ball difficult – especially for a rookie like Shedeur Sanders, who is still working to get comfortable in the Cleveland offense. To reduce the effect of the wind, they’ll need to rely more on the ground game and quick, short throws.
The veterans on the roster will need to help set the tone in this game and emphasize executing what the team has done all season. When conditions get difficult, the team must lean on what they’ve practiced and demonstrate their mental toughness.
There will be an extra emphasis on limiting special teams errors in this matchup. It can be tough to kick when it is this cold and windy, so the team may opt to go for it on fourth down more often to help give Andre Szmyt good field position and the best possible chance of making his kicks.
