And we are off for Week 15 of NFL football, this time, as will probably be the case plenty of times for the remainder of the season, with two teams that are almost out of the playoffs facing each other. The injury-ravaged Niners (- 154) host the Rams (+ 130) in San Francisco, with the home team currently 3-point favourites, and the OU at 49.5.
The Niners easily won their last game against the Bears, led by a stellar performance from third string running back Isaac Guerendo, who had 2 touchdowns and close to 150 total yards, and a stingy performance from their defense making life difficult for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
The Rams won a thriller against the Buffalo Bills last week, and with that kept their playoff hopes alive (currently at 33% according to NFL.com). Matthew Stafford had an almost perfect day at the office, and the defense did just enough for LA to survive a late game comeback attempt by Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense. This is a fun team to watch, with Puka and Kupp being perhaps the best 1⁄2 receiver duo in the entire league.
Overall I disagree with the oddsmakers and like the Rams better on this one, especially because they still have something to play for. The 49ers probably just want the season to be over with as soon as possible so they can regroup for next year.
