NFC North matchup as the Packers try to upset the red-hot Lions
And we are off for Week 14, nearing the end of this NFL season, as the Detroit Lions (- 178) host the Packers (+ 150) up in the D. The home team opens up as 3.5-point favourites, with the OU for the game at 51.5.
The Packers beat the Dolphins last week on the Thanksgiving night game, on a game that was over by the third quarter, and a late garbage time touchdown helped make up the score a bit. At 9-3, the Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL, and really hard to beat. Their offense is well balanced and can easily hurt you in a lot of ways, while the defense is one of the top units, all that while having one of the best head-coaches at the helm.
The Lions survived a late game comeback attempt by the Chicago Bears, thanks to some fireable (and he was indeed fired) clock management by Matt Eberflus. Sam LaPorta caught two touchdowns, and their running back duo combined for almost 200 yards. I find it hard not to root for this team, and they are really fun to watch.
Overall, I think this game will be a close one and could be decided in the final drive. Definitely one worth tuning in to and enjoying.
