Silver And Black Pride
After meeting about a month ago, Week 14 features round two between the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos. The Raiders have been playing some uninspiring football this season, creating very little intrigue heading into this matchup. However, Silver and Black Pride’s Pick’em competition is officially in crunch time as the end of the regular season is in sight!

Holder’s picks: DEN -7.5, DEN ML, Under 40.5
I’m hard-headed and tempted to take the Raiders with the points for the third week in a row…but I’m not that stupid! Denver has a bad habit of playing down to its competition, but Los Angeles wasn’t even at its best last week and still beat Las Vegas by three possessions. The Broncos’ pass-rush is just too talented for the Raiders’ offensive line to hold up, and I think Bo Nix will be much better than he was in Week 10.
Moving on to S&BP’s Pick’em competition, below is a look at how our writers finished in Week 13.
Last week was a big one for me. Not only did I lead the writers by going 12-4, but I also picked up three games on Bill, who rounded us out at 9-7. Taking the Packers, Jets and Texans ended up being the difference. That narrows the gap between us to just two picks! Meanwhile, Ray went a respectable 10-6, but that’s not going to be enough to have a legitimate shot at first place.

C Wood for President finally came back down to earth after posting back-to-back perfect weeks, getting “just” 11 games correct this week. That leaves TV Raider as our top picker from last week with an impressive 13 winners. As for the community standings, we continue to have activity at the top with JeepRaider pulling away from Pick’em Pro and EdgarEdm08 for first place.
There are eight people within four games of the top spot, but the clock is ticking with five regular-season weeks left! Granted, we will continue the competition through the playoffs. But obviously, the number of games significantly reduces, where the next month-plus is everyone’s best chance at making a last-minute push!
