AFC divisional matchup this afternoon

Hopefully you all had a nice Thanksgiving day with your families, and enjoyed the three-game slate throughout the day. This afternoon we have the leftovers, as the 10-1 Chiefs (- 820) host the underwhelming Las Vegas Raiders (+ 570). The OU for the game (or for the Chiefs basically) is at 42.5, with the home team currently a whopping 12.5-point favourites.

The Chiefs needed a last second field goal to survive a late game comeback by the Carolina Panthers, as this is perhaps the weakest 10-1 team I have ever seen. Yeah this is the Chiefs and it is Mahomes, and they are still one of the best teams because of their quarterback, but cracks are starting to show in the foundation, and the rest of the AFC is stepping up.

The Raiders lost to the Broncos last week, with quarterback Gardner Minshew leaving the game with a shoulder injury. At 2-9 they are just waiting for the season to end to fully enter the rebuild, and I don’t expect them to challenge the Chiefs at all. Perhaps the Colts could try and trade a 1st for Maxx Crosby in the offseason? Who knows.

Overall, as this is the only NFL game during the day it is worth watching it, but football-wise I would not expect much in terms of entertainment. The Chiefs look poised for an upset loss, and the Crosby vs. Mahomes matchup is always fun, but other than that not many reasons to tune in.
