Wednesday’s Saints vs. 49ers injury report
Canal Street Chronicles Canal Street Chronicles

The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are each facing the same issue they experienced during the 2024 season: a struggle to stay healthy. After a disappointing Week 1 loss, the Saints are ready to get their first win of the season, and they’ll get their chance on Sunday, facing the banged-up 49ers.

The Saints had four players out for Wednesday’s practice, including starting right tackle Taliese Fuaga and left guard Trevor Penning. Penning missed the season opener, but Fuaga was active before coming down with an injury. Chase Young also remains a DNP. The final nonparticipant was safety Julian Blackmon. The veteran safety suffered a torn labrum against the Arizona Cardinals and is expected to miss significant time.
