Your 2025 Green Bay Packers are off and running.
Training camp is here! Let’s get to work figuring out the 2025 Packers.
The talent level on this team seems readily apparent. They’ve got good players at all positions on both sides of the ball. There are varying degrees of “good,” to be sure, but with everybody about as healthy as it gets at this point of the year, the roster looks solid top to bottom.
But having good players is one thing. Piecing them together into a contender is another, and there are a few areas where the Packers need some work to get their best group on the field.
How will the offensive line shape up? Will Jordan Morgan defeat incumbent Rasheed Walker at left tackle? What does that mean for right guard? Will Elgton Jenkins thrive at center, if and when he resolves his contract dispute?
How will the revamped wide receiver room shake out? When will Matthew Golden ascend, and how will he pair with Jayden Reed? Will Christian Watson be a factor this year?
And what about the defensive backfield? Can Xavier McKinney come up with some kind of encore to his All-Pro 2024? Will the Packers’ trio of second-year safeties continue to develop around him?
All this and more will be answered over the coming days, weeks, and months. We know there’s a lot to like about this Packers team, but the gap between a likeable team and a contender takes a lot of work. Today, that work gets started.
