Acme Packing Company
If there’s one thing that can transform the Packers from a low-seeded playoff contender to a bona fide championship unit, it’s the power of automotive sales. Sure, the Packers probably need a little more power than the mileage-conscious mid-size sedans and SUVs most common during Toyotathon, but maybe Jordan Love really catches fire and the Packers’ offense transforms into a Supra.
Was that all just an excuse to link to that clip? Yeah, maybe, but it’s also the truth. If the Packers don’t turn into a supercharged version of themselves on offense, their playoff run is probably dead on arrival. And to get to a supercharged offense, they need a supercharged version of Jordan Love.
And the key to unlocking that version of Jordan Love is firmly in the hands of Matt LaFleur.
The 12 personnel offense is dead, or should be. Tucker Kraft isn’t walking through that door. And now, with Josh Jacobs also banged up, more of the offensive load should probably shift to Love’s right arm.
The Packers have the infrastructure to support it. They’ve invested at wide receiver for years, and even if they haven’t found a superstar yet, they have plenty of talent and depth. Most of the key figures in the receiver room have essentially grown up with Love. This should be pretty close to a “finished” version of the offense.
It’s just a matter of letting Love drive it.
