The Los Angeles Rams shocked the entire NFL world by acquiring Myles Garrett on June 1st. Garrett joins a stacked Rams team that is widely viewed as the favorite to win Super Bowl 61. The superstar edge rusher is wasting no time at ingratiating himself with fans in the city of Los Angeles.

Garrett threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Saturday’s game between the Dodgers and Angels. He was wearing a shirt with Kobe Bryant’s face on it wearing a Dodgers hat.

His first pitch was a laser of a strike right down the middle of home plate.

It appears that Garrett was incredibly good luck for the Dodgers. LA erupted with an offensive explosion in the first inning, scoring an incredible nine runs. That helped them cruise to a 9-2 victory on Saturday night.

The addition of Garrett has the entire city buzzing with excitement. It could even lead to one veteran defender coming out of retirement.

Former Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald is mulling over a return to the NFL. He is seemingly tempted at the possibility of joining Garrett and the Rams on a Super Bowl run.

Garrett acknowledged that everyone is excited about the possibility of the two superstar potentially playing together in LA.

“We haven’t talked yet, but definitely expect to talk soon. I don’t know what his plans are and I won’t pretend to know, but a lot of people are excited and thrilled about the possibility of him coming back,” Garrett said in an interview with J.B. Long.

The 2026 season could be a truly special year for the Rams, especially with Super Bowl 61 taking place at SoFi Stadium.
