Finally, our 2025 Detroit Lions Madden simulations got it wrong. After a strong 2-0 start to predicting the actual results of Lions games, last week’s Lions vs. Ravens simulation got it wrong… way wrong. What Madden predicted to be a 24-14 Ravens victory turned out to be a 38-30 thrilling Lions win.
Alas, we move on.
This week, our Madden simulation attempts to predict the Week 5 matchup between the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns. Can Detroit figure out the Browns’ suffocating defense and put up some points? Will the Lions’ defense force a few turnovers against a struggling Joe Flacco? Madden will have all of the answers on Saturday morning.
In case you aren’t familiar, here’s how our weekly Madden simulations work. Before every Lions game, I fire up a game of Madden 26, adjust the lineups based on injury reports, and let the computer take on the computer. I’ll be streaming it live over YouTube and Twitch, while also providing live commentary during the game. A big part of these simulations is reading our live chat, so if you have any questions about the upcoming game (or literally anything else), I’ll be happy to give my answers. We try to do these all on Saturday mornings before the college games start, so that you can spend the rest of your weekend enjoying actual football.
