The 2025 Super Bowl began with an absolutely incredible performance of the national anthem from New Orleans native Jon Batiste and absolutely no one is surprised.
The Grammy and Oscar-winner put on a show worthy of the Superdome — and created some intrigue for bettors, too.
At BetMGM, the over/under on the total length of the Star-Spangled Banner was set at 120.5 seconds and 68 percent of all bets were on the over (along with 63 percent of all the money wagered.
Last year, Reba McEntire’s performance caused a little bit of controversy at sportsbooks. That wasn’t the case this year.
Those who took the under are feeling even better about Batiste’s rendition after he officially sang the anthem in just less than two minutes**.**
