The Chicago Bears are currently gearing up for the 2026 NFL season, hoping to build off last year’s trip to the divisional round. The Bears have made some additions to the roster this offseason, and recently learned that quarterback Caleb Williams would be the cover athlete for the latest edition of the “Madden” video game.
During his time in the Windy City, Bears head coach Ben Johnson has been known for his all business demeanor, and he gave the latest example of that with his reaction when a reporter’s phone went off during a press conference on Wednesday.
“Does somebody want to take their phone so I’m not interrupted again?” said Johnson, per @davebftv on X, formerly Twitter.

It was just another example of Johnson’s no-nonsense approach to work, instilling a culture of toughness in Chicago that didn’t seem to be there under previous head coach Matt Eberflus.
The Bears blew away expectations last year by making it to the divisional round of the NFC playoffs, and giving the Los Angeles Rams all they could handle when they got there, although things will be even more challenging this season, as Chicago will be facing off against a first-place schedule.
Furthermore, the Bears won’t have the benefit of being able to “creep up” on unassuming teams this time around, and it remains to be seen if they will be able to once again pull off some of the late-game heroics that they relied on a bit too heavily during the 2025 season.
If Johnson can answer the skeptics once again, he’ll leave no doubt about his status as one of the best coaches in the NFL today.
