The Washington Commanders announced several roster moves this morning. Five players left the Giants game with one or more injuries, and two of them have been shut down for the season. WR Noah Brown left the game in the 1st quarter with a back injury, but was ruled out with a rib injury. He suffered a groin injury in Week 2, and was activated for the Week 14 game against the Vikings. Brown finished last season on IR with a lacerated kidney, and is likely done in Washington after an injury-filled second season.

Veteran WR Chris Moore was released before the Vikings game to make room on the 53-man roster for Noah Brown. He was signed to the practice squad after clearing waivers, and is now back on the main roster. Moore had the second-most WR snaps on the team behind Deebo Samuel in an injury-filled season.

CB Darius Rush was elevated from the practice squad for the first time this season, but suffered a groin injury that will end his first season with Washington. These moves opened up two spots on the Commanders’ practice squad. WR River Cracraft was released to open a spot for Chris Moore and is now back with the team for the last three games.

TE Gee Scott Jr. was also added to Washington’s practice squad. He was an undrafted free agent from Ohio State signed by the New England Patriots after this year’s draft. He’s been a free agent since getting cut on October 14th. The Commanders lost starter Zach Ertz to a torn ACL two weeks ago, and Colson Yankoff left the Giants game with an ankle injury. Washington has John Bates and Ben Sinnott along with Lawrence Cager and Gee Scott on the practice squad if Yankoff isn’t available for the Eagles game on Saturday.
