The Washington Commanders only made one move before tomorrow’s game against the New York Giants. Cornerback depth was thin with Jonathan Jones out with a rib injury. Washington was down to Mike Sainristil, Noah Igbinoghene, and Antonio Hamilton Sr. on the active roster.
Darius Rush was elevated from the practice squad for the first time this season. He was a 5th round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2023, and has been with several teams since entering the league. He signed to the Commanders practice squad after getting waived by the Browns before the season started.
Washington only elevated one player from the practice squad last week. DE DeMarcus Walker was active for the first time, and played 18 snaps on defense. Jalyn Holmes has been a healthy scratch the last few weeks, and could be active this week if needed.
