A new blockbuster trade proposal has the Las Vegas Raiders sending superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby to the NFC.

Things got hectic between Crosby and the Raiders towards the end of he 2025 season. The Las Vegas Raiders placed their star defensive end on injured reserve last month. It ended his season due to a knee injury. The team decided to shut down the five-time Pro Bowler “with Crosby’s best interest in mind.” He certainly did not agree.

FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer said the Pro Bowl defensive end walked out on the team after hearing the news. Since then, a bunch of trade proposals have sent him to various teams. One of them had Crosby headed to the Chicago Bears. In return, the Raiders would get star wideout DJ Moore, 2026 first and fifth-round picks, and a 2027 second-round pick.

A second proposal had Maxx Crosby shipped off to the Baltimore Ravens. In return, they receive WR Rashod Bateman, a 2026 1st-round pick, and a 2027 1st-round pick.

Now, a third team has emerged.

New Proposal Has Maxx Crosby Traded To The Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are entering an important offseason. After a dynamic rookie season with Jayden Daniels, the team went backwards in year two. This drop-off led Washington to move on from both offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt.

A good way to get the Commanders back to the playoffs is by acquiring the right players. Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report is now predicting that the team will do just that.

He has the Commanders making a trade for Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby.

“A team like the Bears might want to repeat history, but it’s going to take a contender who can afford to absorb Crosby’s contract while enticing the Raiders with picks,” Ballentine writes. “The Commanders fit the bill. They have around $89.8 million in cap space and the potential to have a huge bounce-back season with a healthy Jayden Daniels next season. Washington’s struggles this season gives them the advantage of a top-10 pick to offer to Vegas. Dan Quinn would get the marquee pass-rusher he needs to improve the Commanders defense and the Raiders would be able to potent.”

The idea of trading for Crosby really comes down to whether you believe you’re ready to contend next year. At 28 years old, the window to win with Crosby starts in 2026.

Ultimately, every trade depends on the price. Here’s the mock trade that Ballentine proposed in his article: “Raiders Get: 2026 first-round pick (No. 7 overall), 2026 fifth-round pick (No. 145 overall), 2027 first-round pick.”

That is a lot for Maxx Crosby, but if the Commanders offer it, why not take it? The Commanders get a dynamic defensive star, and the Raiders get draft picks. With them possibly taking Fernando Mendoza, they have enough picks to get him some help.
